0 from bridesmaid to prom queen

Let's admit it: brides have gotten better about choosing uber cute dresses for their bridesmaids to traipse down the aisle in. That still doesn't mean that those pretty frocks are going to be worn again. So if you have been a bridesmaid (and who hasn't?) and have a closet full of formal gowns, consider donating them to a good cause.

With prom season upon us, there are several organizations that will accept new and gently worn formal gowns in order to outfit a girl for prom who normally wouldn't be able to afford a dress. When you're 16, prom is a very big deal and allowing the young women in our communities to feel beautiful is a great way to speak worth and value into their lives. When a girl feels pretty, she is more confident, dares to dream bigger, and holds her head up higher . . . and this world can use a lot more women like that.

To learn how you can give back, you can google prom donation centers or you can check out the Glass Slipper Project for similar organizations in your area.
