8 cute babies & big plans plus a new phone number

With the new year quickly approaching, I have seriously lagged this week with the 30 Days to Plan a Wedding series. Here is part of the reason why:

jack

(As usual, please ignore my horrid photo-taking skills, and this time with a camera phone, no less. I know, my photographer friends are cringing.)

My nephew Jack will be four months old next week and getting to watch him experience his first Christmas was such a huge blessing. As the first baby in the family (and he'll be the only one for quite a while, thank you very much), he was s-p-o-i-l-e-d with gifts. And what did he find sheer delight in? Playing with the crumpled wrapping paper. After Christmas, I just wanted to spend time with him the rest of the week, soaking up all his baby cuteness. So I did. The photo above shows him plumb tuckered out from playing with his presents wrapping paper and decked out in the cute hoodie his favorite aunt bought him.

As the year is winding down, it has been a time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the new one. 2007 brought with it some incredible and unexpected opportunities for Blue Orchid Designs and I feel very blessed. There are some exciting things coming up in 2008 that aren't yet ready for the big reveal, but are well worth the wait. :)

Part of preparing for these projects includes our new phone number. We can now be reached at 888.387.BLUE, and you'll be able to reach any of the Blue Orchid Designs associates just by dialing that one number. It is also our new fax number, so you just have to keep note of one number and not multiple ones. I am so excited to have that aspect of the business streamlined in such an efficient way.

I've written before about the importance of dreaming ridiculously huge dreams and I think that post is especially applicable during this time of the year when we all take stock of where we're at in our lives and set new goals. So often, the only things that limit us are the ceilings we place on ourselves. What could happen this year if you stepped out in faith, both in your personal life and professionally?

Personally...I want what's in the photo (what a cutie!). Professionally, I want to book a minimum of four weddings this season. My somewhat long-term goal is to become a member of ISES.

Your nephew is so cute! Thank you for the motivational ending. My mother used to say that often ("stepping out on faith"). We often hinder our own destiny by limiting ourselves (clearing throat). This year I'm stepping out on faith!

PS...LOVE the site updates!
