6 The Perfect Cosmo :: Non-Alcoholic Version
Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, is there anything more apropo for the occasion than pink drinks? I think not.
I shared my friend's recipe for the perfect cosmo a few months back and it is by far one of the most popular posts here. And for good reason - the beverage is absolutely divine. If you're feeling extra fancy, substitute some Grand Marnier for the triple sec. I've whipped these up at many a function and they are always a crowd pleaser.
For those of you who want to sip on something equally chic and fabulous, only sans alcohol, here is a mocktail version of the perfect cosmo:
Ingredients:
1 Cup cranberry juice
1/2 Cup club soda
splash of lime juice
ice
lime wedge or curl for garnish
Place ice in the bottom of a glass - Collins glasses work best since they are tall, but any shape glass will do. Add the cranberry juice, followed by the club soda. Add lime juice and stir. Add lime wedge to edge of glass for garnish.
You can also substitute Rose's Lime Juice for that of a regular lime to add a little sweetness and counter the tartness of the cranberry juice.
If you're serving a signature drink at your wedding or shower, this makes a great non-alcoholic alternative for guests who may be pregnant or who choose not to drink alcohol. So often these guests get overlooked when planning the bar menu and are stuck drinking boring Sprite.
