Oh how exciting! I love Summer!!! I can wear my tank shirts and not worry about my arms not being as "perfect" as I'd like - becasue it's so darned hot that no one cares anyway - and I can pack allll of those bulky sweaters away!

What don't I love about summer?? :) One of my favorite things is getting into the car when it is so hot in there that it's almost hard to breathe! I like it so much because all winter long, I have to get into a cold car and wait a few miles until it warms up enough to stop shivering! I am from northeast Pennsylvania, where winter lasts for about 8 months out of the year!

Summer is the culmination of all the seasons. The time where all things once conceptual, come into fruition. When I think of Summer, I think of long, hot days, filled with endless possibilities. Time spent with family and friends. Time spent alone, curled in the shade, with a good book and the sunlight dappling through the branches of the trees. The sounds of children laughing, playing in the pool, at the beach, in the yard… The smells of morning, as the sunlight begins to bake the still moist from the humid night, earth. It is in the Summer, that I fully realize and appreciate, all the love of family and friends, of all of my creatures, of the hopes and Blessings from God, and for the gift of life, itself.
My favorite thing about summer is that it's warm enough to swim in my pool at midnight with my friends and family after a game of glow-in-the-dark frisbee and a iced caramel latte from Starbucks.

What I love about summer are the still, warm evenings when there are fireflies everywhere.

Summer means barbecues with friends, early morning bike rides through the reservoir and lazy days by the beach. As someone who grew up just miles from the ocean, there is no doubt it's my favorite time of the year!
What is their not to love about summer??
sun, warm weather, beaches, white sand, beach house with a "hamoc", cute hats, thong sandals, sexy swimsuits, colorful handbag,quality time with loved ones, friends, meeting people from around the word. Getting to see all sords of tropical flowers, coconut trees, just tropical breeze. And of course, my sweet lover, the reason I breath everyday. Ahhh...It's just a little taste of heaven!!! It's free to day dream!! Maybe my dream will come true some day!!

I love the smells of summer---suntan lotion, salty air, hamburgers cooking on the grill, fresh cut grass...I can't wait!
early sunday morning drives with all windows open, impromptu barbeques, patio dining/drinking, beach days, sunkissed skin, and infections chill mode.
Homemade ginger beer + absolut + juice of one lime = summer perfection.
Sipping homemade watermelon lemonade on the beach.
Blend in a blender: seedless watermelon + lemon juice + sugar or honey + crushed ice. Vodka optional.
You would think my favorite thing about summer would be flip-flops. But actually, I love the weekend days when hubby and I and the boys can take a bike ride to the beach. We pack a lunch and enjoy making sand castles.
I love the smell of crisp, air dried laundry fresh off the closeline!
Ohhh! We are getting married in 4 weeks and this matches our theme perfectly! How amazing is that! I LOVE summer, but my favorite part is BBQing with friends with the warm air and a dip on the pool.

My mom picks wild dewberries (very southern, closely related to the blackberry and raspberry) and makes tons of jam right when summer starts. She picks the sweet Meyer lemons that have been ripening all winter and adds the whole fruit to the jam for a little zing. No bread needed here--we've gotten to the point where we just eat it by the spoonful! So, I would love to win this for my mom. I have such fond memories of her in the kitchen with her hands stained bright purple from picking berries : )
